The
tufting principle is simple: it is just like a sewing machine. Dozens
of needles arranged side by side across the carpet stitch the yarn,
which then becomes the pile, through a prefabricated support matrix,
primary backing. Once the pile has been tufted, the yarn tufts are
anchored to the primary backing by a latex coating; then a second
backing as an underlay is applied.
- Berry Tuft produces carpet mainly based on polyamide yarns,
making Berry Tuft a specialist in printed carpets.
