The
Berry Group is actively involved in market awareness programmes,
in order to reach the consumer.
Our
customers do get support in several areas such as:
- "ETG
- Mitgliedschaft"
Berry Tuft and Orotuft are members of the "Europaïschen
Teppich Gemeinschaft". The strategy of this organisation
is the strengthening of the market through improvement of the
product: less inferior products and a better quality. This means
the promoting of the carpet image with regards to the environment,
health and hygiene.
- "Teppich Siegel"
In order to obtain this label, the carpet
must be tested by the German "Teppich-Forschungsinstitut
in Aachen (TFI)". The products are tested on comfort and
wear, standard of raw materials and other specific properties.
All test results must be confirmed by the TFI.
- "Gut-label"
The Gut-label "Carpet-contaminent-tested"
provides the user with a double safeguard in matters of environment
and health:
Carpets with the Gut-label have been tested
for contaminants
The symbol indicates that the products have
been produced under environmentally compatible conditions.
- "Scotchgard"
Suitable for all fibre types (including
wool, polyamide & polypropylene) and all carpet constructions.
The Scotchgard Protector forms a shield around each & every
carpet fibre to stop dirt & stains becoming a permanent addition.
- "FSC"(Forest Stewardship
Council)
The FSC certification will provide the consumer with a guarantee
that the wood product has come from a well managed forest which
has been evaluated and certified according social and environmental
principles. The companies Berry Floor & Berry Wood are working
together with WWF to obtain the FSC-certificate.
